Recap: Chattahoochee Cougars vs. Kell Longhorns

The Chattahoochee Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Kell, falling 59-32. Chattahoochee was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Loren Withrite, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Brooklinne Dorr, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Chattahoochee's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for Kell, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season.

Chattahoochee will head out on the road to square off against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cambridge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Kell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
