Softball Recap: 17 Straight Home Wins for Nolensville

There's no place like home for Nolensville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let the Centennial Cougars get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Addi Leichty was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That stolen base was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Jaycee Bilbrey was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Ella Noe was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Nolensville's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nolensville will welcome Ravenwood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nolensville is facing Ravenwood at the right time seeing as Ravenwood is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Centennial, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Franklin at 5:00 p.m.
