Football Game Preview: Clear Lake Falcons vs. Dickinson Gators

Clear Lake is 1-9 against Dickinson since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gators at 7:00 p.m. Clear Lake has given up an average of 54.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clear Lake is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Clear Springs on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Falcons were beaten by the Chargers 42-9. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the Chargers are ranked 113th).

Meanwhile, Dickinson strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clear Brook 71-20. The Gators' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Clear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Dickinson, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Clear Lake suffered a grim 57-35 defeat to Dickinson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Gators' Malachi Gamble, who rushed for 344 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per carry.
