Softball Recap: Newburgh Free Academy Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Newburgh Free Academy and Kingston had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Goldbacks came up short against the Tigers on Friday, falling 7-1. The match marked the Goldbacks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Newburgh Free Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Kingston, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Newburgh Free Academy will face off against rival Pine Bush at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Kingston is set to square off against their familiar foe Middletown at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
