Becton turns things around after tough road loss

Recap: Becton Wildcats vs. American History Bald Eagles

There's no place like home for the Becton Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They snuck past American History with a 61-57 victory on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Several Bald Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ahmad Davis, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Davis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Ahmad Woodard was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with four steals.

Becton's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for American History, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Becton will square off against New Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Becton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three contests. As for American History, they will head out on the road to challenge Voorhees at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in American History's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
