Football Game Preview: Gloucester Fishermen vs. Salem Witches

For the first time this season, Gloucester will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to take on the Salem Witches at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Gloucester will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Gloucester slipped by Bishop Fenwick 34-33.

Joseph Allen went supernova, rushing for 138 yards and one score while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Salem, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 20-14 W over Whittier RVT on Friday.

Gloucester's record now sits at 4-0. As for Salem, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Gloucester's way against Salem when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Gloucester made off with a 35-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fishermen since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
