Recap: Friendship Christian Spartans vs. Georgia Force Christian Blue Knights
It was a good run, but the Friendship Christian Spartans unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 86-79 to Georgia Force Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Kevin Morozov and Alex Markov certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Morozov scored 31 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Markov almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Markov has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Martinez, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Georgia Force Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Mccarn, who scored 38 points along with five assists and two steals. Mccarn is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cj Britt, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Friendship Christian's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9. As for Georgia Force Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9.
Friendship Christian will face off against North Georgia Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Georgia Force Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Providence Athletic Club at 5:30 p.m. on February 8th. Georgia Force Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 389 points over their last five contests.
