After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cross, the Charleston Math & Science Riptide were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They took down Lowcountry Leadership 52-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Charleston Math & Science also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Tyler Simmons continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Grant, who scored seven points.
Charleston Math & Science now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-23.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charleston Math & Science will take on Burke at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Burke is coming into the game with three straight victories on the road, meaning Charleston Math & Science will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they will be playing at home against Palmetto Scholars Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Palmetto Scholars Academy is ranked 289th, while Lowcountry Leadership is ranked 304th).
