Basketball Game Preview: Arabia Mountain Rams vs. Lakeside Vikings

The Arabia Mountain Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Lakeside Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Arabia Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lakeside likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Arabia Mountain came up short against Chamblee and fell 62-55.

Meanwhile, Lakeside played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Tri-Cities, falling 75-47. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 12th).

Arabia Mountain will need focus on slowing down Nate Bennion, one of several Lakeside players who made an impact when they last played. He posted seven points and seven boards. Shaan Fritz was another key player, putting up 11 points and five assists.

Arabia Mountain's record now sits at 5-10. As for Lakeside, their record is now 3-10.

Arabia Mountain beat Lakeside 52-45 in their previous meeting back in December of 2015. Does Arabia Mountain have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lakeside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
