If The Vanguard School was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of KIPP Denver Collegiate on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coursers fell just short of the Aspen Skiers by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Coursers' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

The Vanguard School took Aspen into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 15-10.

Jenna Henson paced The Vanguard School's offense, picking up 14 kills. Henson got some help from Ainsley Anderson and her 21 assists. Finally, Henson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

The Vanguard School's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Aspen, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-5.

As of now, neither The Vanguard School nor the Skiers have any future games scheduled.
