Softball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Eaton Rapids

Eaton Rapids took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Laingsburg, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Greyhounds had just enough and edged out the Wolfpack 9-8. This was a revenge game for the Greyhounds: when they faced off against the Wolfpack on Wednesday, they had to take a 11-5 loss.

Abi Pratt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madaelen Putnam, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Eaton Rapids pushed their record up to 26-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Laingsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9-1.

As of now, neither Eaton Rapids nor the Wolfpack have any future games scheduled.
