Volleyball Recap: Whitman-Hanson Regional Comes Up Short

Whitman-Hanson Regional lost against Marshfield back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Rams.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10, 24-26, 25-23.

Brooke Steele paced Whitman-Hanson Regional's offense, picking up ten kills. Steele got some help from Leah Barnett and her 22 assists. Barnett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Whitman-Hanson Regional has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Marshfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whitman-Hanson Regional is set to face off against their familiar foe Pembroke at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Marshfield will challenge rival Plymouth South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
