Basketball Recap: Treynor Beats Underwood for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Treynor had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 55-42 win over the Underwood Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-33 back in December of 2024.

Treynor pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Underwood, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-4 record.

Treynor and Underwood should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. Treynor will square off against AHSTW at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 158 places (36 vs. 194). Similarly, Underwood (ranked 77th) will meet Missouri Valley (ranked 290th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
