Basketball Recap: Royal Beats Wapato for Their Third Straight Win

Royal won the last time they faced Wapato and things went their way on Saturday too. The Royal Knights walked away with an 80-70 victory over the Wapato Wolves. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Wolves are ranked 68th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Royal's third in a row) raised their record to 16-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Wapato, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

Coincidentally, Royal and Wapato will both be playing Wahluke the next time they take the court. Royal will host Wahluke at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Wapato will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
