Softball Recap: Duchesne Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Duchesne came out on top against North Summit on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run fourth inning. The Eagles never let the Braves get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 16 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Lorisa Mower made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 19 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Duchesne got a massive performance out of Chezney Farnsworth, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases Farnsworth has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Prezley Farnsworth, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one double.

Duchesne was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. They are 15-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Duchesne's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for North Summit, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Duchesne beat the Braves by a score of 18-0 later that day.
