It was a good run, but St. Johns Country Day unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They and the Venice Indians finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Spartans happy, as they haven't lost a game since November 22nd.

Their goal came courtesy of Reygan Ropero, who's now up to four this season.

St. Johns Country Day's draw makes their record 8-2-1 this season. As for Venice, they moved theirs to 4-3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Johns Country Day will take on Oakleaf in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Johns Country Day is facing Oakleaf at the right time seeing as Oakleaf is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Venice and Braden River will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Venice's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
