Volleyball Game Preview: South Central Satellites vs. Boone Grove Wolves

South Central hasn't had much luck against Boone Grove recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Satellites will head out to take on the Wolves at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Boone Grove will be up against a hot South Central squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Satellites' way against Morgan Township on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

While South Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Boone Grove waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Boone Grove took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-13, 25-14.

Boone Grove's win came from a few key players South Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Max Pollnow, who had 21 assists and five aces. Those 21 assists gave him a new career-high. Ryder McCoy was another key player, getting 17 digs.

Boone Grove pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for South Central, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.

South Central suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Boone Grove when the teams last played on Thursday. Can the Satellites avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
