Plains is 9-1 against Seagraves since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Plains Cowboys will challenge the Seagraves Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Plains is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Whiteface just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were dealt a 50-22 defeat at the hands of the Antelopes. The game marked the Cowboys' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Seagraves was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against Smyer, falling 70-14. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1234th, while the Bobcats are ranked 491st).

Seagraves' defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Plains, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Everything came up roses for Plains against Seagraves in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 58-9 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plains since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
