Baseball Game Preview: Hobgood Charter Raiders vs. Ocracoke Dolphins

Hobgood Charter is 0-3 against Ocracoke since April of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Dolphins at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Hobgood Charter's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four games.

Hobgood Charter gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past Columbia 12-10.

Hobgood Charter got a massive performance out of CARLOS MARTINEZ, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that MARTINEZ hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of LANDON DAVIS, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Ocracoke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 19-0 to Bear Grass Charter.

Hobgood Charter's record now sits at 5-3. As for Ocracoke, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Hobgood Charter suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Ocracoke in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
