Softball Recap: Celeste Finds Playoff Glory Versus Trenton

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Celeste had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against the Trenton Tigers by a score of 6-1. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Madilen Fronterhouse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Celeste's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jada Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Celeste's victory bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Trenton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-8.

As of now, neither Celeste nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
