Baseball Recap: Marbury Takes a Loss

Marbury was the 8-5 winner over Stanhope Elmore when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marbury's loss dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Stanhope Elmore, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marbury will challenge Holtville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marbury will need to watch out since Holtville has now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Stanhope Elmore, they will square off against Wetumpka at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
