Softball Recap: Seminole Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Seminole and Osceola squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Seminole had to settle for second. They lost 13-3 to the Warriors. The Warhawks haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Seminole saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colbie Malz, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Seminole's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Osceola, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seminole will welcome Pasco at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.7 runs per game on average), something the Warhawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Osceola, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Port Charlotte at 7:00 p.m.
