Volleyball Recap: Flower Mound Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Southlake Carroll

Flower Mound faced Southlake Carroll in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Jaguars fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost three in a row.

ALEAH EDMOND paced Flower Mound's offense, picking up 14 kills. EDMOND got some help from HAYDEN CURTIS and her 20 assists. Finally, CAITLYN AXTON and Grace Pinegar kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Flower Mound's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Southlake Carroll, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Flower Mound has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Liberty on the 22nd. As for Southlake Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Rockwall on the 22nd.
