Basketball Recap: Ontario Takes a Loss

Ontario was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 82-53 loss at the hands of the Pendleton Buckaroos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 87-38 two weeks ago.

Ontario's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Pendleton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Ontario and Pendleton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Ontario (ranked 229th) will meet Baker (ranked 41st) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Pendleton will take on Nixyaawii Community at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 86 places (119 vs. 33).
