Football Recap: Wittenberg-Birnamwood Takes a Loss

Wittenberg-Birnamwood was the 46-14 winner over Spencer/Columbus when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers lost to the Rockets on the road by a 27-8 margin on Friday. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Wittenberg-Birnamwood and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Spencer/Columbus, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wittenberg-Birnamwood is set to face off against their familiar foe Loyal/Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Spencer/Columbus will square off against rival Amherst at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
