Lakeland extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Auburndale. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Bloodhounds 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Dreadnaughts: when they faced off against the Bloodhounds back in March, they had to take a 13-12 loss.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Lakeland, bringing their record up to 5-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points on average over those games. As for Auburndale, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-3.

Coming up, Lakeland will challenge Seminole Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks' defense has only allowed 9.3 points per game this season, so the Dreadnaughts' offense will have their work cut out for them. Auburndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
