Recap: Northwest Yeshiva Lions vs. Cedar Park Christian Eagles

While it was all tied up 33-33 at halftime, the Northwest Yeshiva Lions were not quite the Cedar Park Christian Eagles's equal in the second half on Saturday. Northwest Yeshiva fell 70-60 to Cedar Park Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Northwest Yeshiva's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joe Benoliel, who scored 18 points. The game was Benoliel's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sam Chernicoff, who scored 18 points.

Northwest Yeshiva's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Cedar Park Christian, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Yeshiva will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sound Christian at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Cedar Park Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Inglemoor at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
