Franklin is a perfect 4-0 against Indian Trail since September of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Sabers will head out on the road to take on the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Indian Trail took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Franklin, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Franklin made easy work of Kenosha Tremper and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Sabers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

Franklin was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-12, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Indian Trail faced Brookfield Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Hawks came up short against the Lancers, falling 3-0. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Indian Trail was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Brookfield Central work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 27-25.

Indian Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 22-11. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 22-4.

Franklin beat Indian Trail 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sabers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
