Class of 2013 Basketball Freshmen 50

By Jason Hickman May 11, 2010, 12:00am

All-Americans Aquille Carr, Kasey Hill and D.J. Fenner lead list of 2013 standouts.

Building on the Freshmen All-American Team published April 27, MaxPreps continues its look at standouts in the 2013 class with the "Freshmen 50."

Patterson guard Aquille Carr earned Freshman of the Year honors after pouring in 25.5 points per game, but no clear leader has emerged in terms of crowning a No. 1 prospect.

Florida's Kasey Hill, Iowa's Peter Jok and Findlay Prep's (via Portland, Ore.) Nigel Williams-Goss are all players that have earned top-of-the-class mention dating back to their middle school days. It's a fun discussion, but still premature – and quite frankly unfair to the young men involved – to begin placing numbers next to their names.

For now, identifying the high school and travel circuit standouts from the class of 2013 is enough.
