Volleyball Game Preview: Belmont Marauders vs. Catholic Memorial Knights

The Belmont Marauders will square off against the Catholic Memorial Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Belmont came up short against Woburn Memorial on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Marauders haven't had much luck with the Tanners recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Belmont was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Woburn Memorial work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 28-26, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Catholic Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to St. John's Prep.

Catholic Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Belmont, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Belmont beat Catholic Memorial 3-1 when the teams last played back in March. Do the Marauders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
