Basketball Recap: Venus Takes a Loss

Venus came up into this matchup off a tough 40-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Buffalo Bison by a score of 46-43 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since November 18, 2023.

Venus has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Buffalo, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

Venus will head out to challenge Alvarado at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Buffalo, they will host Groesbeck at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Buffalo is facing Groesbeck at the right time seeing as Groesbeck is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
