Basketball Recap: Mount Vernon Comes Up Short

Mount Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 65-54 to the Marietta Blue Devils.

Mount Vernon now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Marietta, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Mount Vernon will take on Chattahoochee in a holiday battle at at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Chattahoochee has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests. As for Marietta, they will be home for the holidays to greet Kennesaw Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
