Basketball Recap: Box Elder's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Box Elder had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Browning Indians with a sharp 55-34 victory on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Box Elder found their leader in sophomore Martay Stiffarm-Rosette, who went 10 for 25 on her way to 31 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Stiffarm-Rosette has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shareece Raining Bird, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 11 points in addition to five boards and five steals.

Box Elder wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-43 victory against Rocky Boy on the 7th. As for Browning, they will square off against Loyola-Sacred Heart at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th.
