Volleyball Recap: Mansfield Timberview Comes Up Short

Mansfield Timberview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Burleson Elks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Elks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Burleson found their leader in freshman Leila Davis, who had 21 assists and six digs.

Mansfield Timberview's defeat dropped their record down to 12-21. As for Burleson, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mansfield Timberview is set to challenge their familiar foe Everman at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Burleson will square off against rival Cleburne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
