Baseball Recap: Nelson Comes Up Short

If Nelson was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Centennial on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Nelson fell just short of the La Salle Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Nelson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as La Salle apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Justice Diaz made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Nelson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for La Salle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Nelson will venture away from home to take on Lake Oswego at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for La Salle, they will host Tualatin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Timberwolves have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
