Basketball Recap: Highland Prep West Takes a Loss

Highland Prep West saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 38-37 to the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions. The HORNETS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Noah McKinney produced another solid effort putting up 17 points and five rebounds for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. McKinney's big performance that afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Levi Adcock also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Highland Prep West now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Highland Prep West will face off against Wickenburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the HORNETS their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-42 defeat against Walden Grove on the 29th.
