Baseball Recap: Guy-Perkins Comes Up Short

Guy-Perkins lost against Wonderview back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds lost 20-5 to the Daredevils.

Guy-Perkins saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Urijah Fortner, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The Thunderbirds are 2-1 when Fortner posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Thomas Lamb was another, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Guy-Perkins' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Wonderview, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Looking ahead, Guy-Perkins will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Vernon-Enola at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wonderview, they will face off against Sacred Heart at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
