Baseball Game Preview: Northwest Christian School Crusaders vs. Kettle Falls Bulldogs

Northwest Christian School has gone 8-2 against Kettle Falls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Crusaders will take on the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northwest Christian School has five straight wins, Kettle Falls has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Saturday, Northwest Christian School got the win against Reardan by a conclusive 19-5. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Drew Bevan made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

In other batting news, Northwest Christian School got a massive performance out of Benjo Roth, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Chase Mortlock was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Northwest Christian School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reardan only posted a batting average of .263.

Meanwhile, Kettle Falls lost 13-1 to Chewelah on Saturday.

Kettle Falls' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Northwest Christian School, their record is now 9-2.

Everything went Northwest Christian School's way against Kettle Falls when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Northwest Christian School made off with a 23-0 victory.
