Volleyball Recap: Grand Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Grand Valley lost against Dove Creek back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Maddy Jackson and Kylene Mascioli, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Taylor Pittman and her five assists. She was also a major player on defense: she and Paytyn Easley shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with four each.

Grand Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Dove Creek, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Grand Valley has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Soroco on the 26th. As for Dove Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Moffat County on the 23rd.
