Volleyball Recap: West Aurora Comes Up Short

West Aurora was the 2-0 winner over Glenbard East when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blackhawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams on Monday. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While West Aurora ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21.

West Aurora's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Glenbard East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-14.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. West Aurora will square off against Marmion at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Glenbard East, they will venture away from home to square off against Benet Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
