The biggest upset of the week belonged to West, who took down 60th ranked West, 34-31.
Palos Verdes extended the longest winning streak in Bay this week by beating Mira Costa, 48-13. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Palos Verdes' Bryan Scott and Dean Alessi have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Scott has thrown for 715 yards this season, while Alessi, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 17 catches for 360 yards. James Nelson from Palos Verdes Peninsula leads the league in rushing with 455 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Guy Gardner's team takes on the Warriors. The Sea Kings are in third place, while West is in first place.
Palos Verdes moved up to 40 from 72 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Bay. The Sea Kings climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Mustangs 48-13.
