Bethany suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Bethany Wolves vs. College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals

The Bethany Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by College Prep & Leadership Academy at home and fell 90-24. Bethany was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-16.

College Prep & Leadership Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Mckenzie, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and three steals. That's the first time this season that Mckenzie posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lenix Goff-Mitchell, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Bethany bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethany will be home for the holidays to greet Winston-Salem Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Winston-Salem Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. College Prep & Leadership Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Carver at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
