Softball Recap: Sumner Stingrays vs. Wharton Wildcats

While Sumner's victory against Wharton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Stingrays had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 8-7 on Wednesday. The Stingrays haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Aliyanis Stubbs was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Stubbs was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
