Softball Recap: Rainier Beach Comes Up Short

Rainier Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 22-4 to the Ingraham Rams. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rams this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-2 defeat on Tuesday.

Rainier Beach saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was CJ Willis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Willis also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Rainier Beach's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Ingraham, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rainier Beach will face off against rival Cleveland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ingraham is set to take on their familiar foe Chief Sealth at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
