Basketball Recap: Comer Takes a Loss

After soaring to 68 points the game before, Comer was a bit more limited in their matchup on Sunday. They came up short against the ITW David Speer Academy Pride, falling 49-23. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pride this season, with their most recent loss being a 51-31 defeat back in January.

ITW David Speer Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Miabella Collazo out in front who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards. What's more, Collazo also racked up five steals, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anaiyah Costoso, who posted 18 points and seven rebounds.

Comer's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for ITW David Speer Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.

As of now, neither Comer nor ITW David Speer Academy have any future games scheduled.
