The Horizon Huskies and the Skyline Coyotes will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Horizon saw some tournament action on Monday. They came out on top against Arcadia by a score of 7-2. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won eight in a row.

Preston Burke looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jackson Weber, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2024. Keegan Kishimoto-Parrish was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Skyline put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Poston Butte an 11-0 shutout. The Coyotes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 11 runs or more this season.

Jake Goins looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Zane Vander Linden was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Otero, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Horizon now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Skyline, their record is now 7-0.

Horizon took their win against Skyline in their previous meeting back in April of 2015 by a conclusive 15-3. Does Horizon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Skyline turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
