Volleyball Recap: Hillside Comes Up Short

Hillside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Northern Durham Knights. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hillside couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Northern Durham a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-11, 25-17.

Hillside's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Northern Durham, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hillside will challenge rival East Chapel Hill at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northern Durham is set to face off against their familiar foe Riverside-Durham at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
