Basketball Recap: Ashton Huey Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Comanche

Rio Vista won the last time they faced Comanche and things went their way on Friday too. The Rio Vista Eagles enjoyed a cozy 46-28 win over the Comanche Indians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Rio Vista's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashton Huey, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Huey has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Macklin, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds.

Rio Vista's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Comanche, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Rio Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-35 defeat against Goldthwaite on the 14th. Comanche will take on Early in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
