 Mogollon was the  5-4 winner over Anthem Prep when they last played one another  back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mogollon Mustangs lost  9-2 to the Anthem Prep Eagles on Friday. Mogollon just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
 For Anthem Prep's part,  Bailey McCabe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. McCabe has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jaime Kuzmiak, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Grace Stillwell, who  went 1-for-4 with a  home run.
 Mogollon's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Anthem Prep, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-9.
 Mogollon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Anthem Prep, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Joseph City at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both teams will come into the  game having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
