Basketball Game Preview: Sealy Tigers vs. Almeta Crawford Chargers

Sealy has won four straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Almeta Crawford has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Sealy Tigers will welcome the Almeta Crawford Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

It was a proper cat-fight when Sealy faced off against Harmony School of Innovation on Friday. Sealy blew past Harmony School of Innovation 78-40. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Tigers had established a 36 point advantage.

Noah Washington was his usual excellent self, putting up 31 points. The contest was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Almaguer, who posted 15 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Almeta Crawford). They claimed a resounding 97-44 win over Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land are ranked 1179th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Almeta Crawford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points per game. As for Sealy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
